We held our big CD Release and Halloween party on Oct. 26 and it was one hell of a night to remember. The Beverly Hills terrace where we held it has never been so alive. With friends, family, fans, celebrity sightings, countless amazing costumes, and great music, it really was a spectacular night that we are so happy to have shared with everyone!
It’s hard to imagine a more fun and inclusive way of throwing a party in October than with costumes. We opted to all disguise ourselves as Batman villains. I went for the naturally purrfect choice- Catwoman. (Side note: Who didn’t love Michelle Pfeiffer in Batman Returns?!?) Daniel as Scarecrow had hay flying all over the place as he shredded guitar. Riddle me this, Riddle me that… Who do you think Lucas was dressed as? Freddy played a brilliant Joker, knockin’ it out on bass in his finest purple suit! And look out boys… Darcie, with her deadly kisses, came as Poison Ivy! The show was to die for. Check out the gallery below to see everyone else’s great costumes.
The evening started with a strut across the red carpet, where celebrities like Jose Canseco, Leila Knight, Josie Canseco, as well as cast members from The Walking Dead, American Horror Story, Criminal Minds, The Butler, Betty White’s show, and many others all showed their support for Lunar Rogue. An open bar and Jell-O shots helped make the party even more fun.
Once the night was in full swing, it was time for the main attraction: Kick-ass live music! We were delighted to have rock newcomers, The Cougarachis, open the show for us. It was their live debut and they nailed it! They did a fantastic job warming up the crowd and we need to send them a big THANK YOU!
Finally when the night came to us, we used the opportunity to jam almost all of the 15 songs on our album and even 3 new ones. Energy feeding from the crowd was indescribable. We would have played more if we could have! From the get-go, it was just an all around amazing experience. It really was an amazing way to launch our first full-length album. I think it’s safe to say that we all feel like this is a great stepping-stone to build momentum from while moving forward with this band.
Again, we can’t thank everyone that came enough (And all the people that helped put the event together). We had a few Jello-O shots left over, so here’s to you!
